Welcome Message
It is my privilege to welcome you to New Hope Church. It is our desire to encourage you in pursuing and enjoying a relationship with God that is real and personal. New Hope is a community of faith whose members come from a variety of ages and backgrounds. We have different struggles, gifts, talents and sins, but share a common longing for the presence and smile of Almighty God. We have found this relationship with God through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ. This is not only a one time surrender of our lives to God, but an ongoing journey of learning to treasure Jesus. We continually learn to surrender and grow in trusting Him with our entire lives and with all those we share this life with. We are not a sinless bunch. To be quite honest, we model a kind of “messy spirituality.” However, it is our desire that over time, by God’s grace, we sin less and honor and glorify God more and more.
We rejoice that “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16). What makes this such good news is the treasure of who loves us. In other words, the “new hope” that thrills our souls is not so much that we matter, but that God matters. God is huge. God is mighty. God is massive. He is perfect in holiness and overflowing in grace. The God who is infinitely glorious invites us to “taste and see that the Lord is good”.
(Ps 34:8). We are invited not to jump through religious hoops, but to come to God through Jesus who says, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty” (Jn 6:35). We experience our greatest joys in Jesus because only Jesus can restore us to a personal relationship with the all satisfying God. Please know that we invite you to join us at New Hope as we together find our greatest hope and joy in knowing God and making Him known.
Sincerely,
Pastor Jeff (& the people of New Hope)
