Jess Hulst moved to Orange City some years ago with her husband Seth, and quickly learned that she in fact was not a country girl like she thought she was. When looking for churches after they moved, Jess was seeking a deeply connected church that valued their members and cared greatly about the needs of the body. This desire was graciously granted by the Lord as they settled on New Hope as a home church.
Jess quickly learned that the DNA of New Hope lies in the rich community cultivated most deeply within life groups. Jess has been incredibly blessed by life groups at the church and how they have provided such a sense of fellowship in her life. It has allowed her to know others more intimately within the body, including church leaders and pastors.
One specific memory recalls Jess as she was ready to board a helicopter and be flown to Sioux Falls to deliver her premature baby. She was met with prayer at Orange City Hospital from Jeff and other church leaders, who later followed her to Sioux Falls and prayed for her at the hospital there. In this moment, she knew what it was like to have a church body who truly cares about their members and values each unique need. This community has influenced Jess and her husband Seth to host and lead life groups of their own. Their desire is that they can help foster the community that they have so richly been blessed by for others.
